A revolution against plastic waste

With plastic production growing and expected to double in the next 20 years, a movement is starting which will disrupt the way handle plastic waste.
The Change Plastic for Good movement represents a new way forward with a clear message to businesses and consumers alike. The butterfly represents the most regenerative and sustainable products made with Biodegradable Plastic biotechnology, but it's so much more than that.

What we have

What is BDPR?

Biodegradable Plastic is an organic ingredient that is blended into plastic, rubber, foam... even fabric. Products made with Biodegradable Plastic maintain all the same properties as
regular plastic. The shelf life, appearance, recyclability, clarity, and strength all remain. When these products are discarded, naturally occurring microbes consume them entirely, leaving behind only natural remnants.

What are the benefits of Biodegradable Plastic?

Tested

Plastics, rubber, foam and, synthetic fibers have all been tested and proven to have accelerated biodegradation in oceans, landfill, and under soil when treated with Biodegradable Plastic.

Inexpensive

Biodegradable Plastic adds 3-10% to a product's overall cost, making it commercially viable.

Easy to Use

Biodegradable Plastic is a drop in technology, added to the manufacturing process just like a colorant. No equipment changes are needed.

Properties

Biodegradable Plastic does not affect the shelf life or properties of the products it is used in.

Compliance

Biodegradable Plastic is FDA GRAS/EU compliant and has been migration tested to be safe for food contact. It is REACH, EINECS, ROHS, Prop 65, and CFIA compliant. All ingredients have been tested via Intertek to be nontoxic and also toy safety tested.

Recyclable +

No Microplastics Biodegradable Plastic products are recyclable where accepted. They do not cause microplastics. On the contrary, Biodegradable Plastic is a solution for micro plastics in oceans, as these small particles are nearly impossible to recover.

Marketable +

With a strong consumer-facing brand story that focuses on being a 'gold standard' for TRUE sustainability, the butterfly represents a movement. Consumers and brands alike, become the hero when choosing Change Plastic for Good®s.

What Biodegradable Plastic is Not.

Time Limited

Biodegradable Plastic-treated plastics do not have a defined shelf life or special storage conditions to maintain integrity.

Toxic

Biodegradable Plastic treated plas® do not leave any residue behind if incinerated or after biodegradation.

Metal Salts

Biodegradable Plastic is organic and is not based on technologies involving transitional metal salts oxidative processes.

Non-recyclable

Biodegradable Plastic does not inhibit the recycling of plastics as is based on fossil oil compounds that are intrinsically compatible with plastics. Biodegradable Plastic is dormant and becomes so diluted that it will not affect the quality of recycled plastics.

Encouraging Letter

Biodegradable Plastic is designed as a 'fail-safe' if plastics are not successfully recycled and end up in landfill, the ocean or in the soil.

Wasting Resources +

After a product's useful life and recycling. Biodegradable Plastic treated plastics are converted into useful materials like biogas and humus, and hopefully, some day will be used as a renewable feedstock for plastics.

Short Term

Biodegradable Plastic is a technology for the long-term and continued use of plastics as a fantastic and valuable material. Our plans include closed-loop systems, anaerobic digestion, and gas catalyzation technology development.

Plastic Needs a Better End of Life

Biodegradable Plastic is the perfect solution for products we use every day. It is what happens after its use that creates problems

Our strategy is based on our long-term vision of creating a better ending. Better for the planet, better for the consumers and better for businesses that rely on plastic to deliver great products that their customers love

Addition

Biodegradable Plastic biotechnology Is the key to success

How does Biodegradable Plastic work?

Biodegradable Plastic is made up of nutrients found in organic crude oil. These nutrients are consumed as a natural food source for microbes, with natural gas as a byproduct. These nutrients, which are normally burned during processing, are fused onto the polymer chain, tricking the microbes into thinking the Biodegradable Plastic treated plastics are the same food source. Once the product is discarded into landfill, oceans or under the soil, the microbes utilize the plastic as a food and energy source, accelerating the biodegradation process. What used to take thousands of years, now takes only a few years as microbes consume the entire product. The only thing that remains is the same byproducts as decaying organic matter: biomass and biogas that can be captured to produce clean energy.
